Hellooooo

Post by olsnappa »

G'day all
Just signed up here after being given the tip from my old cyber mate Tormentor (Tor on AKFF and the JEM Watercraft site )
Another wood yakka here, having built a JEM Cape Fear a couple of years ago and a Laker.....with another underway. Yes....it becomes an addiction.
So hopefully the band of "woodies" will continue to grow :)
Don't get on the water anywhere near as often as I'd like but look forward to following your escapades and maybe hooking up from time to time.
Cheers.
John.

Is that olsplinter or olsnappa, bound to have had a splinter or two playing with that much wood and glass,2 boats and another on the way  breeding quicker than rabbits  . Welcome, great to have another woody owner on site, so if any of us attempt a build we will at least have someone to bounce questions off. Look forward to a few pix's of your flotilla and the new build, as well as meeting up some time.

Are the kayaks stitch and glue or strip builds olsnappa, not sure which way I would go if I was to build one :?:

babylon and ELM......thanks.
ELM......Yeah, plenty of splinters along the way. And always happy to help anyone interested in building their own.
The kayaks I've built are stitch and glue. As much as I admire them, I don't think I'm equipped with the patience or skill (or tools) to tackle a strip build at the moment.
Maybe one day...... :)
