Wingan river area shark warning

Post by Steve_R »

There was a mass whale stranding recently.

The whales will not be removed.
VFA issued a shark warning for the area. Presumably this will last until well after the summer season:

Thinking of a trip to test your mettle on a 4 meter Tiger, eh?

I've been thinking about a trip down there for a couple of years but never get around to it. I imagine the beach fishing will be red hot once the whales start 'melting'. Maybe about March next year???

And the authorites were worried about disposing of the carcasses!

Nature takes care of itself.

You need to rig heavy if you’re gonna fish that area for a while~

Best bait? Blubber!
