these were my first take on forward facing rod holders for the stealth
I used 1 " ram mounts figuring they would be easy to adjust and remove for surf launches
so far they worked out fine and were the prototype for the front mounts that Eoin now sells
https://seasherpa.com.au/collections/sh ... r-brackets
as I have short legs there was room on my profisha to put rear facing rod holders - these aren't for trolling but to put the rods some where while re rigging on the water or while dealing with a fish

Re: A stranger in the night
Always good to get to see peoples variations. Thanks cheater.
As most lucky people are out this weekend the wife has friend from NZ over and with only one car limits me to the house.
I've started on my sounder mount, concentrating on my own headunit holder. There's no flush mount for the 5inch for a 525 off the shelf so giving it a go myself. Progress so far:
Also something a little less exciting, the battery install. I'm going to start with just the old SLA battery in Tupperware and using adhesive Velcro strips, secure it up the front of the fish hatch. I believe the stealth are designed to sit level when there's a big fish in the hatch and as this is not often going to be the case, I want to lower the bow slightly. I don't carry much additional gear other than my rods so the battery placement is o my the real other ballast to use. (I suppose except a water bladder like Keith uses on his revo16)

Re: A stranger in the night
Looking good Nath, im using a lunchbox for my battery which is held in place under my seat by a foam block siliconed in place with a hole cut out for a tight fitting for the box, i think now i should have placed some velcro under the foam before glueing, however it doesn't move when i tip the vak on its side to fit the wheels. Yet!

Re: A stranger in the night
while I'm at it this was my take on the battery box - using a FPV Power 7 ahReeling wrote:Always good to get to see peoples variations. Thanks cheater.
I made up a basic mould from wood and gave it a good PVA mould release treatment
then layed up a fibreglass part
then trimmed and fitted where the std battery box normaly gets fitted

Hey Steve
Like the DIY battery box. Where did you get the restraint bungee from?
Thinking of doing something similar on mine.

Re: A stranger in the night
made it up from some 6 mm bungee ( bunnings ) 2 plastic pea clips ( autobarn ) the bungee is zip tied between the pee clips to form the loop then some black tape around the zip ties and the button clip I had that was removed from my Prowler ( I think from the std paddle keep )placcymarauder wrote:
