I thought I would post this here as I havent read/seen this elsewhere.
It wasnt until I recently did some research on the newer hobie kayaks that I found many people loved the vantage seat because it kept their bums dry. I never had that problem because on my older hobie Kayak as I had modded my stock seat to raise it by about 2 cm above the kayak floor. So even though I have water constantly flowing on the kayak floor and back up through the scuppers (so my seating area had like 0.5 to 1cm of water regularly), my bum was above water (although when it got damp from spray it did not dry quick).
Anyway - here are 2 photos that show the mod - its just a layer of foam above a mat made of noodle/PVC pipe that is attached to the bottom of my seat (with rope so I did not have to mod the seat itself).
Note that the pool noodle/pvc need to be aligned with the yak to ensure that the channels between the pool noodle/pvc allow water to flow through them towards the scupper (i.e. a water coming in from the front can flow under your seat to the scupper).
Worked well for me and is cheap to do. Hopefully this would save you guys from wrinkly bums.

Interesting mod Ron.
However you are a bit late.
Most of the folks on here are already at the stage of wrinkly bums and not because of the yak not draining!

wrinkly bums help you not slip on the seat.
