looks like a draw...
Mate took this pic last weekend, it appears that a snake (copperhead?) and a fox did battle, snake is minus his head. Pic is of the site undisturbed. Looks like the maggots won....

We were in Qld last year with my old man looking after our mutt (German shepherd) whilst we were away. I get a phone call saying the mutt is at the vet's for the night....The old man was with the mutt playing fetch etc and the mutt returns with what the old man thought was a mouse, "drop!"....no mouse, a bloody copper head!!!!
Mutt had killed it, but I reckon the old man might have got a bit active! Mutt didn't get bitten so it was a 'relatively cheap' stay at the vets! .....and we live in town too- had to check the whole yard when we got home.
