a bit more pimping

Post by cheaterparts »

just some new mounting s for my kingy - I needed to mount a cuda 300 and move the rod holders a bit higher and also move them in a bit to stop the paddle hitting the rods
so this is my S/S rod/FFinder mount it removes easy for transport and give me a rail to hold when I need to get stuff from
the front hatch

still need to make up a battery box I'm not sure if it will be stainless or aly as yet or where to mount it
also wiring both the F/F and nav light has to be done as well

Nice looking unit there cheater.
I feel the rods would get in the way of my paddle stroke as you have it.
As you say raising it and bringing it in should keep the rods out of the way.
Looks great, good work!

Think you could make one that slides forward and back?
Hmmm.Also:
1. Stubby holder.
2. Slide out bait tray.
3. Tackle box storage
4. Moral pamphlet with photo's of Gillard.

I'll see if it clears enough trolling as it is first

did a road test while at patto on the W/E trolled 2 rods just to test the rod holder positions
it works a treat and the rods are easier to reach than before

cut out some aluminium for the battery box today hopefully I'll get time to weld that up tomorrow night
