STOLEN hobie revo

Post by Marblah »

Hi vyakers,
My auntie had her prize and joy hobie revo stolen from the roof racks of her car in West Melbourne this week, bolt cutters used to cut though lock. Would be much appreciated if you could keep an eye out for any Ivory dune revolutions for sale minus fins, cart etc. Keep your yaks safe from these low lifes by keeping them out of site when out of your site.
Cheers Marcus

Presumably they didn't get all the extra bits (mirage drive, seat, paddle, sails, outriggers, etc)?

<edit> sorry, just re-read your original message - makes the next bit of this post even more relevant:

It would be worth contacting the local Hobie dealers so they can keep an eye out for
suspicious-looking characters trying to buy such bits. Perhaps let them know the
serial number of the hulls too...

The serial# is also secretly engraved into the hull underneath the lip of the rear hatch, just in case a thief knows where the default one is and sands it off.
