If the transducer can be fitted inside a boat then it can be fitted inside a yak ,just double check from your supplier on its applications

The only reason most trannys are unsuitable for inhull fitouts on a boat is that the trannys beam wont shine through a boat hull because of the hull material, ie aluminium, etc. As yaks are made of polyethylene most trannys will shine through no probs. Just make sure you have NO AIR BUBBLES and youll be sweet.
There is plenty of info on here on how to do it

No issues mate, any you mentioned are fine.
Search the site and I'm sure you will find all the info you need.

I went with selly's allclear warmed a bit in hot water, poured out a blob and stuck the tranny in.
Be warned it can take up to a week to cure!
Keep the nozzle inside the blob to avoid air bubbles.
Prep the yak with a bit of wet and dry sandpaper then metho.
