Well its been 2 years now with the Lunar, and things have come a long way since then.
Ive actually finished the fitout to a level Im extremely happy with.
We left off here with the fitout some 24 months ago

Whilst it may nor be a very popular kayak, at $600 sale price its a steal. More stability that a Wavedance Kingfisher, and with the Wilderness Systems Sidetrax as standard its a terrific platform to fish from
Latest mods include a Wilderness Systems/Harmony Gear Dashboard, RailBlaza starports and 600-1000 tele boom.
The Wilderness Systems/Harmony gear makes things upfront so easy. Simply back off the 2 screws on the mounting plates and slide back or forth to the desired position and re-tighten them. No tools needed at all.
The 2 mount plates with railblaza starports are kept on the yak at all times, and the rod holder simply plugs in. The dashboard mounts with 4 brass mounting tabs in the slidetrax rails and tightened down with four wing headed bolts. Rigging the yak to go takes as little as 10 minutes n a rush, but even at a leisurely pace its 15 minutes tops.
Heres how she looks nowadays.......
Cheers Steve

Looks good.
That platform a DIY job?
How do you find getting it on and off that trolley?

Re: Seak Lunar 12. 2 years on!!
Looks great Steve . I love how easy the lunar is to set up with the rails. I see you use a scupper trolley, are the inserts rubber? I used a diy pvc one and i ended up damaging my scuppers. Ghurkin fixed em and there good as new but i upgrade to an ok prowler 4.1 and noticed that the plastic thickness on the hull of lunar was so much thinner than on the ok. I wonder if you noticed that too compared to kingy? If anyone wants to get a lunar12 wait till they're on sale not worth the grand they normally retail for.
Cheers

Hi guys,
Yes gazzahh the trolley has rubbers on the inserts for the scupper holes. Even so, still inspect thescuppers regularly for wear.
Hi Ray, things are good here, hows the new Kingy going?
This setups the ducks nuts!! love getting out with all the new gear onboard, makes things so easy. Ive picked up some new Bling oo lately, so things on the bach half of the yak could well change yet!
Cheers Steve
