I saw that last night, it's pretty amazing having it so close to home, imagine if you got schools of them around western port and PPB.

Maybe the fisheries are picking up. The Kings have certanly made a return to the area.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

They are deffinantly picking up, there are more and more reports coming in of tuna in the area. I think in 10 years time we will be launching out from phillip island to chase SBTs, perhaps either sooner.
keeping my eyes and ears peeled for more news on the tuna fishery recovery.

Amazing footage, almost unbelievable... except that it would be the second lost Blue fin this season if you include Cam White's barrel he hooked off Cape Schanck in shallow water in April. Anything is possible I suppose... still, its almost like seeing Big Foot walking down Bourke Street Mall.

They will be back the way the patterns are going. We used to catch them off Cliffy Island near Wilsons Prom regularly years ago.
It's more fun doing it on a yak and even more fun with a sail

Yes you are right Rayso. I seem to remember Cliffy and SBT as well. Also kings off there as well.

We do get them around both bays. Right time, right place job. With fewer trawlers and more available bait we can hope the fishery is on the up.
