What an awesome little kayak, with a carrying capacity of 150 kg ,sit in with self draining hull ,comes with all the bells and whistles, its really hard to beat price wise @ $7oo

g'day dan just wondering how you found the scout .do you find it stable
at the moment i have a ocean kayak but thinking of getting a wavedance cascade
cant find much on the cascade but found out wavedance sold the mould of the cascade to aquayak
so from all accounts the scout & the cascade are the same yak
interested to know if you've had any problems with the scout
thanks shayne

Love some pics, if it is possible.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Manufactured in Hoppers crossing and you can buy them direct.

Or the scout here: http://www.aquayak.com/scout-kayak

They have a razor sharp price point. I've seen a few around over the past few weeks.

My personal opinion is that they need a slightly bigger model.... For big units like myself. Something over the 4m mark would be good.
Other than that they look like a good blank canvas to work with with good bang for your buck.....

g'day andrew
i understand the scout is made in hoppers crossing i'm buying the cascade from wavedance & was looking for someone with one
thats why i mentioned the scout because aquayak bought the cascade mould to make the scout thats what the brother of the wavedance
owner told me suppose with the sierra 2.7 & kingfisher 4.1 wavedance had no market for the cascade 3.0
as for size i'm a pretty big bloke myself but found the cascade pretty comfortable
anyway hope to see you out there someday

yeah guys the scout is 3.0 x.8 and a carrying capacity of 150kg ,its one of the most stable kayaks i have used, and beleive me i have used more than my fair share.if ya want a look in person i'll be at the werribee comp next thursday leaving werribee south boat ramp at 6am,stopping there for lunch at 12 and weigh in at 4.45pm or call me on my mobile 0418935490,as you can see i have no probs recommending the aqua yak scout to any body esspecially those persons whom come in a larger frame as it were.
