I have been considering combining these 2 products to trial, I agree with Shane I do not like the Hobie seat. I will 9/10 use an out rigger for the same reasons stabiltly and fantastic storage of rods and accessories on the tramp.

Using it in mono mode will be for quick sessions or just. To paddle for some time on the water.

If you use a seat pad or a non hobie seat keep in mind the tendency for the seat to slide forward due to pedalling without anchoring via the seat pegs. Never did like the old hobie seats either.

May require Velcro or anti slip material

I must be in the minority because I never had an issue with them, I haven't tried the vantage seat models other than a PA but I'm pretty sure I'd prefer the older seat on something like a revo or adventure in single mode.

Remember in an adventure its low profile, even the vantage seat in the revo 16 has your butt at water level, the seat well is lowered further than the old well to accommodate it, its not just perched on top of the old hull, in the way a skipper seat conversion is.

Being in a puddle isn't to much of a worry with the dry pants on.

I've been thinking about adding some slides to mine similar to what's used in cars, given the length of space infront of my seat it would make a nice improvement and allow for a much better seat without the loss of stability.

Corrosion and slide mechanism will require alot of preventative maintenance.
