I've run the elite 4 combo unit on an outback as close to me as that elite 5 combo as pictured and the elite 4 just wasn't big enough for me.
That's cause you're getting old mate not cause of the size of the sounder lol. Next year you'll need a 7" screen hahaha

I couldnt think of anything witty or funny to say and didnt really want to post my PB fish from the yak cause all I manage to get are toadies so I thought I'd take the time to fill in the blank space and say pretty much absolutely nothing and annoy every-one who has taken the time to read this.

Hahaha :ugeek:

If I used the gps side of it I'd prefer a 5, just using it as a sounder I find the 4 is big enough for me

I use my 4 as a gps and sounder and have it in the same spot but on the left. I will probably get a longer arm and move it further forward as I find it hinders me slightly when I wanna fish semi side saddle with a leg dangling over the side. Kinda nice to do on a still hot summer evening.
Live long, fish hard and hopefully catch something.

Damn you guys in the new Outbacks!! A few months back I got a warranty upgrade to a 2014 model but with renovations and an Italian holiday, fishing took a back seat. I had similar issues with my old 2012 Outback so decided to sell the 2014 kayak and upgrade. Put an ad on Gumtree yesterday afternoon and got 2 calls within the hour and was sold and collected by 8.30pm. New unit now ordered so looking forward to taking delivery shortly :yahoo:

Loving my new outback as well.
The seat is fantastic, exceeds expectations.
Just got back from a Toolondo trip, 6hrs day one, 4 and 3hrs day 2 and 4.5 hrs day 3 with not a hint of back pain that I'd had with the old seat.
The mirage drive and Elite4 chirp sounder go a treat as well, very happy!
