OUR New Trailer finished

This is our new trailer my son in law has been building for
my son Steve and me designed to hold 2 hobie Revos

Starting the build in Garage.

checking trays fit.
Image
trays and Yak holders in place.

tail lights done
Image
Yaks loaded up
Image
still have painting to go fix lights properly and fine tune it but
it drives like a dream water tanks to be fitted in front cage for
washing down yaks gets rego on thursday very happy :D :D :D Jim

Great work mate what sort of price did this set up end up costing? You've set off a lightbulb

Slick looking machine there Jim!

Love the idea of the boxes for storing yak gear (i assume) and water containers.
Could use the water storage for camping trips too!

If the water containers are large, could they affect stability when under tow if you have water sloshing from side to side? Would hate to see that beast fishtailing behind your car...

Hatters mate the water containers will be 2x25 litre plastic
containers one on each side in front joined together by a T piece
and run to 12 volt pump to wash them with so stability shouldn't
be a problem.Thanks for you comments Guys we are pretty happy
with it no more bloody roofracks and crook backs :D :D Jim

Know where you are coming from mate ,every time Im lifting the yak up on the racks its as if they have grown a bit more :evil: very impressed with the setup on the trailer and look forward to the finished product

Nice job, my only suggestion would be if you use one piece rods to put a lockable steel tube, if you use 2 pce, don't worry about it. I'm another one who understands the lifting thing, I've got a Triton ute so I have to lift well above my head and I'm 6ft.
