I just can't believe that people would even contemplate going out in that wind. And in short kayaks, that wouldn't help. No wonder yakking as a sport has a sometimes tainted name.

I drove passed cherry lake yesterday arvo at work and there was white caps everywhere and waves going over the grass and footpath if it werent for the safety factor it wouldnt even be enjoyable being that bad

Looked like 3m ebay specials on the news considering they were not struggling to drag the yaks in by one arm. Also said there will be a next time. idiot seriously i dont believe rego but licenses would have to reduce risk.

I was at Altona boat ramp between 6 and 6.30pm last night. Not a single boat was out. It's unusual not to at least see a couple of the die hards still going out. I reckon that tells the story well enough. If people in 6 - 7m fishing boats aren't going out, well .....
