I wear an Akubra Broadbeach which breaths, the felt is just too hot for me, the down side is the wind takes it off so I may invest in a bucket hat, also have a cap with a clip on neck protector and another clip on front made from mesh to keep the reflected light off my face, lots available on ebay.

I used to get burnt on the face a lot and had a lump removed and the surgeon asked what sun cream I used, I said "none ... which one do you recommend" and he said the only one he would use is Zinc cream and the invisible zinc cream. (Even tho I always wore a hat, the sun reflecting off the water was what burnt the face.)
There's been a few sun screen creams in the news lately about people getting badly burnt while using them, Banana boat was one, can't think of the other...so I wouldn't use those.

Pretty much same as everyone else except I wear cotton type track suit pants and carry a pair of rolled up water proof spray pants if it gets cold.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.
