Their website does say they import stock direct from manufacturers (grey imports).
The older models are the ones on sale on their website so I assumed they were trying to get rid of old stock.

I will follow it up next week.
Especially given the info above, hope you do get your money back.

A quick Google had the kvd you ordered at over $150 less than the Walmart run out online price. To be a grey import and well cheaper than a reputable US source instantly screamed alarm bells

Alarm bells did ring - but not loud enough to stop me placing an order and transfer funds on line.
Bank has started the process of getting my money back due to non delivery of order.

Meanwhile I purchased and picked up a Lowrance elite 4 sounder GPS combo with navionics+ chip from from CH Smith "physical" shop.

Luckily I had not sent them any money. I was a bit wary after having my credit card cancelled recently due to someone using it for uber rides in the UK.

Anyway took advantage of BCF sale today and so have finally got myself a Garmin Echomap 5dv. Now to fit into the yak. :D

Good stuff, I think I'll head in tomorrow and get the Lowrance Chirp 4 Combo. It's a bargain at $300 with Navionics. From what I hear too, they haven't changed anything in the new Hook models anyway.

The ch smith deal looks good too. Is there a difference in the maps?

BCF says in the description:
Includes Navionics + 50XG XL9 Aus/NZ Chart

CH smith says in the title:
Navionics XL50 Gold Maps

CH smith is $330 while BCF is $303.

The maps card comes in the box with the sounder.
I believe it is the latest Navionics+
CH Smith had lots of them in stock when I picked up mine last week.
They had the new model hook next to the old model elite on display to show they have the same features and are apparently the same except for the name/label.
