If you just keep an eye out you'll find a good deal or make the person selling an offer.
It's a big investment all-round so don't rush.

hmm, I kinda want a Revo now... seems like a good yak for inshore fishing to go with a longer paddle yak for mucking around offshore

Outback > Revo ;)

More storage. More storage and you can stand and fish. And did I mention more storage? And rectangular hatch for more storage?

The sport is still a nice yak imho. Don't knock it till you try it. Its better then it appears on paper.
Live long, fish hard and hopefully catch something.

haha
I'm actually still leaning towards a Slayer 13 simply for the ability to reverse. Seems like a really useful thing for fishing in the snags at places like Blue Rock

Hobie now comes with reverse.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

yeah, the reverse drive alone probably costs something north of $1000 though. ~$2000 for the yak and another grand on top of that to go in reverse isn't all that tempting

I figure I can get a S/H Slayer mostly fitted out for around $2000 if I'm willing to wait for the right deal to come along

I have a slayer and love the reverse. Got me out of the rock at Alton when I was hooked on to a decent pinkie
