How to start competition?

Hi guys
Just a few simple question..
What do i have to do to participate tournaments,competition?
What do i need to do have ( livewell,or other special gears...)?
I am looking at any type of fishing soft plastic, fresh or salt water anything that can be done of a hobie outback.

Here's a few that you could enter they have a link to the rules on the page too.
Hobie Bass http://www.hobiefishing.com.au/bass/
Hobie Bream http://www.hobiefishing.com.au/bream/
You could also fish the TTTAF competitions (less official then aforementioned competitions) and if you are ok with not using the kayak could enter some of the ABT rounds as a non-boater
ABT (they also have information about the hobie series as well) http://abt.org.au/
There's also vic bream classics but I believe they don't accept non boater entries.
