Hi all,
Bougt a T bar (second hand) off ebay a few weeks ago and gave it its first run today on my x-trail...
Its a pretty good tool heavy and very sturdy handling. Does a great job though and makes my life much easier. They are around $400 new, you can pick them up on ebay for around $200 second hand.

That's a sweet looking kayak.
The tbar works well. A bit different load up than your old car.

Thanks Guys,
Yes, really takes all the effort out of loading and unloading. As mentioned its a pretty sturdy build is the T bar and quite heavy, but I'm happy Ive got my set up now. Just need more time to go fishing!

Thanks for sharring Neil, I've got an xtrail and outback too!
Thinking about getting a similar setup but just wondering does it scrape the bottom much using this method? Or not too bad?
Cheers,
norska

Not really, you could put down a small rubber matt if your really concerned. Once you point the front end up it doesn't move until you lift it up. It works really well, its main downside is its weight and size. I have the back seats down for transporting it to the spot. I install it, then lock it with a padlock, so its there for me ready on my return. I'm happy with it.

The Rhino loader comes supplied with a rubber mat to place under the Yak on the ground

I always use a camping jigsaw mat, I attach by using a occy strap tothe kayak. This post makes me keen to adapt my bike rack to pivot.
