Hi Guys
About to get my first Kayak, on a fairly limited budget so I'm looking at the Scorpio Terminator 12. http://www.kayaksonline.net/kayaks/fish ... minator-12
12 seems like a good deal and a good compromise between storage, tracking and weight as I will have to throw this on the top of my wagon for transport.
Just aiming to go out in PPB (down Rye, portsea area) and westernport mostly for squid and Snapper (and perhaps that big Kingy bugger that has eluded me for years)
Anyone had experience with these?
Any other advise appreciated.
Cheers
Dave

If you're on a budget have a look at some s/h options. You'll get a better (i.e longer) yak for less and it will probably come with a bunch of accessories included

Thanks 4liters.
Yea, have been keeping an eye on Ebay and Gumtree and haven't seen anything around that price that has more features.

winchbitch ( Mal ) uses a scorpio terminator 14 with the delux seat not the high chair and really for a cheaper kayak does the job pretty well and better than most of the cheaper range of kayaks - quite quick for a plastic boat and has really good stability -- can't help you with the smaller 12 though

Sure do. $900 with 2 anchors, cheaters custom rod holder assembly, seat, paddle + spare paddle, paddle leash, milk crate with rocket launcher rod holders, and a slightly dicky sounder/GPS combo(the contacts in the battery plug need a bit of a scrub or something) with a 9ah battery. There's some railblaza odds and ends I can throw in as well, along with some tackle trays.laneends wrote:you still got yours to offload?4liters wrote:If you're on a budget have a look at some s/h options.
