Maybe... but at least they know that because you already use an EPIRB, if they give you a PLB you'll use it or pass it on to someone who will because you appreciate the value of having one. PLBs can be used for hiking, skiing, inland waterways even fly fishing... for example if you get bitten by a snake you need to stay immobile, fire up the PLB and you're rescued.

I thought the last section of the survey was a bit weird, would've seemed more useful for them to give people the option to differentiate between the individual components of the campaign media concepts rather than a global binary response. Any safety message if you're safety conscious is going to influence and re-enforce your attitude to safety because it compliments your internal narrative about kayaking, careless people by nature *don't care* so very little is going to influence their behaviour until something tragic happens to them. The whole last section in my mind seemed to poll pigheadedness.

Liked the idea of a paddle course though with a 400m zone...

Bad weather and 50m can have you in just as much trouble
Live long, fish hard and hopefully catch something.
