Good account and plenty to be learnt. Thanks for putting this up Rhino. Gives plenty of detail about how things can go wrong, even with a kayaker who taken some safety precautions. Also interesting that even without any heat retaining clothing of any substance, he was still conscious, though cold and hypothermic. Its re-assuring that if one has the minimum of emersion designed clothing it will give reasonable time in current water temperatures.
