With his latest one on 'Big Flatty Lures' , you could be mistaken he was talking about targeting murray cod by the size of these swimbaits.

The old Daiwa Double Clutch on a 1-3kg flick stick is no more. It is dwarfed by the 15-30lb for 1-5oz monster he is using.
Saves going to the gym I suppose? Just spend a few hours launching a few of these swimbaits.

They do say that 'where there a lots of smaller flatties, the big ones aren't far away'

For sure they are around, there was one living in the clifton springs habour but some kids caught it last season I've caught some good sized ones when fishing for snapper or gummies, i always let most of my flatties go.

A large amount of the flathead population in ppb is made up by various species of sand flathead that don't get big by the standards of other flathead
