Shame when I arrived the guys were done, but did manage to see cheater coast in on one, travelling backwards


Anyone who's ever thought they need better yakking skills, I suggest you attend the next surf event. Great to push yourself and builds confidence in ability and craft :thumbsup:

backward - forward doesn't matter to me bracing on the slop to the beach doesn't look graceful but any way you can get to the beach with out falling in is good

I also have to agree the surf days apart from being a lot of fun does pick up skills even the small slop has more power than most wave action you will find on the bays
you do learn what bracing is all about and of cause what your kayak can do ( which is normaly more than the rider )

pf cause picking up a ride may not be something you need to know to fish it's damm good fun

Looks like a great day had by all.
Sorry I couldn't make it
I got almost as wet as you guys coz I burst the water main/front yard tap as I was preparing the trailer to leave.
Had to stay home & wait for a plumber.
Hopefully next time I can make it.
