Tuna of the yak will be a dream come true , some 5-10kg model schools do come in about 1-2km near shore near portland and hang about there for few days but swell here is normally crazy...Will need to keep a close eye on weather and check reports regularly(Best website I have found so far for reports in Portland - Apollo bay area below, there will be reports coming in from late feb onwards) and then plan a trip where both coincides. I'm booking a charted in May either way.

Already fairly close in boys its just getting to the locations that they are close are only accessible by boat or a 4-5 hour hike to get them land based

I grew up in warrnambool so I know the area reasonably well, I know of a few spots where it's possible, some quite a hike, might get the old backpack out n go for a hunt
