Adjudication required on this one.
According to my reading of the DPI guide a Seven gill comes under "other sharks" which have no minimum so he should be eligible. I measured it against the 60 cm ruler sticker on my paddle and it was a couple cm longer but I would have struggled to get it, my name and the ruler in the same shot as the little bugger had the squirms and I didn't want to harm him prior to release. (and while he was small his teeth were looking nasty).

So, claiming 60 cm and happy to go with whatever the admin says. All good either way

After not allowing the toady that was entered last month (it fell under "other fish") we'll have to be consistent and not allow "other sharks".
Sorry about that! He/she sure is a cute little thing.

but both sharks and skates/rays are in the dpi book
Shark (all species other than school and gummy shark, white shark, greynurse shark and elephantfish)
so the 7 giller is in there
just as rays also get a blaket mention

I know my toad was sus as there is not direct mention of them
where as sharks and ray are

just a thought
