Just wondering if any of the local kayak manufacturers would consider moulding AI - style amas (say 2/3 of the size to suit yaks 3.5-4.5 metres)? Just blanks so the user can setup as desired?
Would be an ideal off-the shelf solution for sailing on the budget, if the price braket is within reason. Anything currently on the market isn't quite up there for sailing, including Hobie's sidekicks and Yakgear's offering, although these would be good for added stability when drifting.
