bit of a sail at mt martha

Post by cheaterparts »

mt martha non whiting day - got to chuck the sail up a couple of times with some extra bungy support and it does sail better

any way phill and myself checked out each others set ups and he is/was still running the single bungy forstays and while thats fine for straight down wind it wont hold any shape while trying to reach

the extra suport I've fitted to the vee sail hold a good shape upto a 90 deg wind ether side but not anything to windward
big gusts still knock the sail down with the yak stable and upright

i'm still thinking of trying a genoa jib set up with out a main as I think it could sail to windward better
