A social trip is being organised for the AI & TI owners to head to Mud Island on Sunday. Departing Rye/Tyrone Beach around 0930, via the fort. BBQ on the beach, circumnavigate the island and return to the beach. Fair chance of a squid fish while we around the island, outside the marine park. For anyone not on Facebook - here is your invite. A fun day was had by all,with some light, very light and reasonable winds. Weather went from overcast to sunny, a mixed bag really. Out via the fort, lunch on Mud Island, a quick lap of the island and an easy trip home. Although I did take the longer way, via a nice little surf break on a sand bar off Sorrento . Picked up a couple of nice little waves for my effort. Managed a 52cm flathead and 4 squid off Rye, just before we headed in. 32k's and around 6.5 hours on the water.
