I'd be interested in something on Port Phillip or Westernport Bay. What do you have in mind, and which day?

Hoping to get some responses and may have a few getting together in different locations and out sailing together. Personally, weather dependant Im hoping to visit Walkerville, failing that im open to suggestions. We will wait and see what type of response we get and go from there.

Which day are people thinking, and what time would you be setting out?

Walkerville is a little over two hours from Melbourne (according to my sat nav) so it's a possibility for me.

I won't know final plans till later in the week and see what the winds are doing. Willy weather has high 20 knot wind predicted for Saturday. At this stage I'm looking at Sunday with an early start, hoping to get some fresh squid for bait then heading down toward Grinder point. Remember that parking space is limited down there so it pays to be early.

The wind and swell according to Willy weather looks encouraging for Walkerville Sth on Sunday. Planning on launching before 6, try for some fresh bait then sailing toward Liptrap with high expectations. Fishing for a while before posibly heading out a bit wider for some drift fishing then a sail back toward Walkerville. ATM.

Been camping at Walkerville caravan park the last few days. What an awesome spot. I actually found it easier to launch from Walkerville north, I drive past the Walkerville north caravan park and head along the water as far as it takes you towards Walkerville south. Found it less busy, but havnt tested it yet on a weekend. Just be careful of the rocks which are everwhere on low tide. Caught a few salmon busting up on the surface.Just hope the conditions are favourable. Hopefully I can be there.
