Just a quick note to Hobie Island owners.
There has been interest by some current owners in joining the long estabished Hobie Island Club. As there are no such groups yet in Victoria Hobie is assisting in setting up either a general Victorian or depending on the level of interest shown more area specific groups. These already exist in other states and have proved very popular with large numbers turning up to sailing days. If interested in more information please feel free to PM me and I will forward your contact details to the co ordinators as they are appointed. This is early days yet and hopefully will enable Island owners to get together and enjoy this great activity together.
Please note that I have asked and recieved permission from admin for this post.
Cheers Rayso.

Re: Hobie Island Sailing
I helped out Hobie, Action Kayak and Sail and SLH at the Hobie Island Big Day Out in October last year.
It was a great weekend and those who attended had a ball. Most were keen to get together and do it again.
I did a video of that weekend. I don't know whether you've seen it or not, but here it is:

Good luck with it Peter. Those who attended that weekend really appreciated being able to sail as a group.

Re: Hobie Island Sailing
An update on progress.
It appears that due to legal & insurance issues the format will not be as it is in other parts of the world. Another avenue is currently being researched with Hobie Australia to obtain a way that Island owners can get together and enjoy sailing in a group. If all goes well a simmilar outcome will be achieved. ill post more info when it comes to hand.
Cheers Rayso.

Re: Hobie Island Sailing
We have our yak sailing scene here, why not just use vyak to plan get togethers?
Just asking as that's basically what you want to do right?
