I just picked up mine last week, had it out a couple of times, but always keen to head out with other people.
I spend a lot of time around philip island. What are you fish?

it would depend on what you are chasing - you will find Mike fishs a lot around Cleeland bight and out the front of Cape Woolamai
but there are alot of different areas with the eastern channel and right around to Cat bay all worth while areas

Yep, as cheater says I spend a lot of time off Cleeland Bight / Cape Woolamai...

My house is just around the corner from the beach, so it's a relatively short slog to get the boat on the water.

I usually avoid having to cart the whole setup around (on the car) to other launch spots, as I frankly can't be
arsed with the hassle.

My last two trips have been across to Bass River and Reef Island (setting off from Cleeland Bight). I work with
the tides and it only takes about 2 hours to cover the 10kms to the mouth of the Bass River.

Since getting the A.I. I find that a lot of my trips are 'explorations' rather than fishing expeditions. I usually take
a single rod and couple of lures along, and troll on the way, but I find myself getting a lot of enjoyment from
the sailing and travelling. Fishing is almost superfluous...

I'm keen for more offshore trips (out from Woolamai), when the weather permits and also more time exploring
Bass River and Reef Island, as well as the tidal channels around Churhill Ilsand and around to Rhyll...

I'm lucky that I can usually make most of my trips mid-week, but if you're ever keen for a weekend trip, send me
a PM and we can arrange something.

Cheers,

Mike.
