Scott Lovig Hobie (SLH)

Post by Yakass »

Some of you guys may have noticed that the website for Scott Lovig Hobie was rebuilt a few weeks back... and we apologise for what you experienced - what has been seen cannot be unseen! However, we fired the guy responsible and took it upon ourselves to rebuild it from scratch. So I've been pretty busy over the past few weeks putting a much better site together and I'm happy to report that the new new site is now live. While we still have quite a bit of work to do (more content to add, products to list, shopping cart to activate) it is now in a much better state and finally fit for human consumption. So check out http://slhobie.com.au to check out my handy work, and keep checking back to see the extra content that will go live in the coming weeks.

Yup, among other things we focused on simple navigation, balancing that with cosmetics, look and feel. There really is a lot of content yet to be added, but we feel we're on the right track.
And yes, Candy ain't going anywhere :-)

Nice one Josh. For some reason it keeps reloading on the IPad, but works fine on the Mac.

Noticed a typo on the first line of the Revo description; Sleep = sleek?

Cheers

Thanks so much for the heads up Tim. Yes, 'sleep' was meant to read 'sleek' and now does, thanks to you. I reckon I made this typo because when made, all I was thinking about was sleep. A lot of this was done in the wee hours at home.

Keeps reloading on ipad? Thanks for the heads up on that - I need to look into it. Will have to look at an ipad to see whats going on there. Will work to find a fix ASAP. Appreciated you letting me know.

No worries. Just had another look - when the banner image refreshes, the white background (where the copy sits) disappears and then reappears.

Cheers

Wondered what was going on then, didn't remember the site being as unfriendly as it had been. Looking much better Josh. The reload looks like a flicker issue with transitions, had a similar problem using jQuery in the past not sure what you've used there though. Enjoy :wtf:

That flicker issue is mildly annoying, but the site is so user friendly now that it really doesn't present much of a problem. Love the simple navigation. For someone as simple as me, it's a real bonus.
cheers Ray
