Cheap(ish) Sebile Koolie Minnow LL

Post by Deefa »

Motackle has reasonable pricing for Sebile Koolie minnows at the moment (but their shipping is too much).

160mm LL $14 here.
118mm LL $13 here.
102mm LL $9.95 here.

Between 40%-50% off. Better value if you want to order more gear to keep the overall shipping cost down.

I just recieved 1x160, 2x118 and 1x102.

These seem to catch big reds - shane has caught a few, and my recent 70cm was caught on a 118, as were the two ~35cm pinkies and sub 30cm released fish.
The 160 is full wire (from tow point through to both treble mount points). Should be good for towing along (with a stiff rod) when trolling pretty anywhere in PPB, and well below the surface if hunting BFT on the west coast.

I got a 160LL in green mackerel for SWR this year and rigged it with wire for spanish. I trolled it around a bit but didn't get any hits. I also thought it wasn't swimming as well as the 118's do. Maybe it needs more speed - which your AI should be easily capable of.
