Having owned a Subi I can confirm. All build plates stamped Fuji heavy industrieshappyas wrote:There used to be an air cooled single cylinder stationery engine around in the 60's called a wing. I had a hand in installing these into a marine environment. It was made by Fuji Heavy Industries. A great little Japanese unit. I think Fuji is the company behind Subaru.

I've got the approval to buy a new Kioti 35 hp tractor with 4 in 1 FEL from the "boss", just taking a bit of time to make sure there's nothing available second hand before I commit.

Looks nice, what does it use for counterweight, I'm guessing wheel weights.Digger wrote:Been talking about it and finally ordered one of these this morning!!

Next on the agenda for me is bucket forks for moving 'long things' around that won't fit in the bucket.
Time for Mr MIG to make another appearance, also want to make a slip over hook to go on the bucket for lifting chains and slings as well as moving trailers around in tight spots.

I think you can put weights on the back somewhere Iain but until I need them I'm not sure. I will normally have a slasher on the back and am having the rear wheels reversed and filled with water for stabilty and extra weight.
I have little experience with modern tractor capabilities that it will all be a blg and enjoyable learning curve for a while hopefully. Not sure which job I'm going tackle first, there are so many. Maybe some slashing where I hope to enjoy the extra power of the Kuboti. Then repairs to the drive where flooding has rutted it...oh I'm getting excited!
Did you know the tractors are delivered to the dealer in a crate and have to be assembled? (for an extra $1000)
I doubt that I'll sleep much until its delivered, guess even old blokes can get excited!!

I don't agree, even though mine has its own spot in the shed, has a cover so the birds don't crap on it, gets washed and polished, and a regular greasing, must be something to do with the orange paint..Digger wrote:I dont really care much about cars, they just get you from A to B but tractors are like the ultimate Boy's Toy~
