spooled up one of them last night.

im impressed with the smoothness, the level of configuration of the drag (it can be minutely adjusted) and the overall feel.

bought myself one of these yesterday for all my rods

That's the ones, they are a little hard to open/close but a quick easy mod with the dremel will fix that

Just bought fishing shirts and pants/shorts for Pickle and I from this mob

http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/_ ... ?WTz_l=SBC could spend lots there, I spent over 2 hours last night checking out every thing, some good deals on clothes, some very nice looking electric outboards especially the twin prop one that is made to bolt/clip to an existing petrol outboard, looks just made for a yak.

cheers Ghurkin.
People laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at them because they're all the same.

Posted this on another thread too...

For your info....

Purchased 2 rod holders, 1 universal mount and 1 hobie mast hole ball mount direct from http://www.ram-mount.com/Home/tabid/37/Default.aspx.
Order was placed online 14/1 (last Thur) and arrived today (they tried to deliver yesdy but I wasn't home)

Total was roughly $215 Aus including the Fedex priority post with tracking. Johhny Appleseed (There's one in Stkilda road) came close to this price but they don't have a lot of floor stock and would have had to order in anyway. McClean was the other one I costed.

Buy Aus and all that aside, this was the best deal for me and the range available on the site is comprehensive.

Wokka

You will soon find your setup is never complete.

I'm currently hunting for a Hobie PA to mount on my outback
