Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone does or used to work for savage boats back in the day. I have a savage ranger 455 (2002) and cant for the life of me figure out how they got the original humminbird sx150 transducer wire routed through here. Im planning on using the same transom hole for my new lowrance hook 2- 9 transducer plug, but just cant see how ill be able to get it through those tight spots.

Not quite the same but sparkies used to use a flexible rod to install wires in existing houses, a method I've used is to feed a semi stiff cable through the path required then attach the wire to it and feed it through, or attach the new wire to the old and pull the old out feeding the new through. Hope these suggestions help.

Or a length of cord pulled through with the old wire and then used to pull the new wire through.

RG6 quad coax is fairly stiff and can be bent and will hold the shape, when running coax I tape them together with a long overlap and have been known to use heat shrink tube to hold the two together with a smooth join.
