Stereo Headphones?

I’m in the market for some B/T stereo headphones for our trip later in the year.

Our biggest local retailer here has a selection but 2 X 10 minute sessions with no one approaching me, means i will likely buy them off the web. They don’t earn my business, they don’t get it!

That leaves the situation of buying something expensive sight unseen and that’s not ideal either. (Perhaps that should be ears unheard as well?) I probably should wait and shop in Singapore but if I don’t find what I want there then I have the longest leg ahead of me where some distraction would be nice. I’m not sure that prices are necessarily better there particularly.

I notice Beats offer an (up to) 40 hours duration battery life, plus a fast recharge. Now I’m not sure you can even use your own B/T on an international flight, but if I can I will. I assume B/T headphones are mostly able to plug in too.

Apart from great sound I’m looking for soft headphone cups as otherwise my ears will ache after a while.

So in that great big world of etherial Brains Trust, has anybody got any helpful advice for me please?

Name brand such as Sennheiser although I am sure there are others, considered earbuds, I have them with B/T for my phone when I'm on my bike and they are quite comfortable, just cheapies of ebay but pretty sure Sony and such make better sound quality units.

Gaming earphones/buds are good I've used Logitech in the past they are quite good. Ear buds are very good, I've used the for my pc, tablet and phone however i have found better brands do have better quality sound. I agree buying online can be an issue, if your after a brand name just dont buy from an asian country as it's most likely junk, with the acception being Japan.

Thanks for that. Earbuds are out because I can’t use them with hearing aids.

Don't know what retailer you went to locally but I have always had good service from these people

I am guessing that you may be talking about the people over the road.

Hard to go past Bose QC’s (quiet comfort) especially for air travel. They are steep, but you get what you pay for. Worth it for long haul flights IMHO.

Bose QC’s (quiet comfort) for me too. Very comfortable, wear all day on a flight (or in the office for some peace and quiet).

As in plug in to a stereo jack ?. None that i've ever seen Digger. I use a couple of different ones but the Jabra BT620's are over ear. Problem with them on flights is the band goes around the back of the head not over the top so for flying in particular they are against the seat. Whatever you get make sure the band is on your crown.

Harvey Norman is about the only one locally and it amuses me to hear the big retailers complain about sales going offshore.

I’ve had a pair of 3M Worktunes AM/FM/B/T phones for some time and stream music all the time I’m in the paddock or on machinery and they are ideal for that. The audio is basic though and not too good for serious listening, also far too bulky for travelling.

Thanks for your thoughts Iain.
