Rate my first fishing app

Post by Finnigan »

Hi guys. I'm a junior app developer & I want to share my first app.
Its a angler tool that help will help you ID fish, give some basic tips, show location of where you may find that species on the map and also shows you the Bag & measurement limits for that species.
Over 35 species are featured at the moment. Its only available on Google play ATM.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... plus&hl=en

Tell me what you think. Cheers

EDIT-Asks for permission to get rough geolocation for the purpose of getting Google maps to open on all devices.

I hope this comes to use for any new fishos coming onto the scene as it I feel it would've been handy for me when I first started out.

Not bad for a first app.
Small typo on the opening screen - "AUSTRILASIAN".
If you're looking for improvements, maybe a menu?
Anyhow, top effort.
Cheers.

Been a while since I went fishing and this app is exactly what I was looking for... Just a quick suggestion in terms of catch and bag limits, it would be good to know "Last update" as I am not sure if these have been updated for 2017.

Hi Finnigan,

From what I've seen it looks good.

In SA PirSA (our state fisheries) has an app that does a lot of the same functions, you should download it and check it out.

Good App mate, As a lifetime in Graphic Design now retired I would suggest fix up the spelling and put some colour into the logo. the Logo on a phone or anything with a dark background can't be seen. I installed it on my phone which has a dark background and the only thing that stands out is the writing.
Cheers
