The song, Stairway to Heaven", just keeps building and to me is an emotional journey on many levels. Ann Wilsons vocal are fantastic and the choir create even more feeling in the room which adds to the emotions clearly visible from Jason Bonham and Led Zeppelin themselves, in particular Robert Plant. I don't mind admitting I get a bit of a lump in the throat and a tear in the eye when I watch it.
What a great thread you've started Digger..... and Rhino ... as the old fart I am, this link was very nostalgic ie. large lump in throat..........You could see the joy in Jimmy Pages eyes...interesting to see Obama and missus there obviously enjoying the music...can't imagine George Dubya doing the same............well done on posting all of these links guys.
Since everyones on the old stuff. At 17yo in 2005 i shunned a weekend being a teen for an all nighter staring blankly at the radio listening to bands including Coldplay, Muse and U2 waiting for one band to come on the radio. Finally at 930am I got to wake up the whole neighborhood with what I was waiting for. Nick Mason, Richard Wright, David Gilmour and for the first time since I was born, Roger Waters. The first and last time I seen/heard Pink Floyd in the flesh. A moment in time I'll never forget sitting on the couch eyes closed with tears rolling down my cheeks
