G'day peeps. Just bought a Hobie Quest 13 after wanting to get into kayak fishing for a looong time! Live very close to the Patterson River so I'm thinking that will be my local spot. Pretty interested to head out off the beach at Chelsea, Bonbeach and Seaford to see if I can score a few flatties and the occasional pinkie too. Have taken the Quest onto Devilbend twice and that was great fun, although not too much fishing fun to be had in the middle of the day. I'm also keen to see how I go flyfishing off the Quest in PPB...anybody else into that sort of caper?
Looking forward to learning from all your experiences.
Cheers
Newbie from Patto

Welcome to Vyak,
Enjoy the Quest & enjoy patto chasing the bream.
You won't find many of us in to fly fishing off the yak in PPB but quite a few yaks fish patto casting lures under the jetties & moorings.
