Ha Ha.
I just use my pvc/pool noodle roof rack supports or if it's really rough/sharp rocks I have a gym mat with me and lay it out to slide over.

On a serious note, I've been fiddling with a similar launch and retrieve with a cordless remote winch and a bridle for the outback. Got a steep muddy bank I want to conquer. I know it's gonna get the yak up and down. The pipes an winch mount on the trailer and run to the water
...I haven't worked out how I will get up and down.
1m mud bank. Quite undercut in places with deep water at the base. The tide can be a little quick as well
I dont reckon the pipes can take the weight of me in the yak as well... the other option may be alloy pipes wrapped 3/4 in clipped on pvc pipe

Live long, fish hard and hopefully catch something.

I recon those pipe would separate and the yak would fall thru the middle, can't see anything holding them together.
Cheers Gary...

I used some pieces of webbing screwed loosly to the pipe so in theory it can move a little to suit the changing contours of the hull and be less likely for the yak to skip out when being winched.
This is also now a problem with the berleypro transducer hanging in the centre

What about an aluminium ladder , you could anchor one end to the shore with tent pegs and a couple of floaties on the other .Wind Waker wrote:On a serious note, I've been fiddling with a similar launch and retrieve with a cordless remote winch and a bridle for the outback.
