All-in-one cupholder fishfinder mount - v0.9

Post by mingle »

Just finished (after many lazy delays) my prototype of an all-in-one fishfinder that will drop
into the cup/bottle-holder on my A.I.

I made a similar one, many years ago for my Sport and Revo and they worked very well.

This one is a bit different in that I've chopped the transducer cable right down and am
running it on 3 x 18650 3.6v Li-Ion batteries.

Works fine out of the water, so the next test will be the next time I'm out in the yak.

I still need to tidy-up the cables and the transducer bracket, but it's 90% done.

I'm still a bit wary of Li-Ion batteries (as I've had one melt-down on me already),
but if the worst happens I can always chuck the whole thing overboard!

Looks good Mike. Just make sure the battery compartment is as watertight as you can get it. Those 18650 holders disintergrate quickly with a little salt water.
