Re: Relatively Green
Don't get discouraged with your soft plastics. I have carried them in my tackle box since they were first available in Australia perhaps 50 years ago. I had never caught a fish on one. One day about 15 years ago I got hold of a sqidgy DVD and decided to give it a red hot go. For the next three day f...

Hobie itrek 11 inflatable
iTrek_11_studio_sideview_png_1200x9999__generated (1).png So last week I received a new toy. :yahoo: The Hobie itrek 11 inflatable. Wednesday I decided to give it a shakedown by looking for Bream along the jetties in the canal at Portland. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time but m...

Re: When Seniors Downsize.

I back the trailer under the winch hook it up and press the button makes life easy. Spiders have 8 legs for lifting things to the roof, why do you need a winch? your...

Re: When Seniors Downsize.
Thanks Maverick, I have thought long and hard. The revo is a tad lighter and more zippy but I really like the stability of the sport but also it has flat surfaces along the side like the Outback where I put my scissors and bait. The Sports not that much different to the Outback as you know but just...

Re: Dirt Fishing/ gold Detecting
One of the things I did some research on before we went away was prospecting.....unfortunately I did not find out enough to confidently buy a detector so that was as far as we got. Would love to know more.

Re: My Lure Collection
 Nice collection there. I'm a bit like you. Of the 80-90 lures in my collection I'd say that I catch fish on about 5 of them. I'm not sure anymore if that's because I naturally am drawn to what's worked for me or if they're just superior designs for the species I target most.
...

Re: WEATHER STATIONS
So yesterday I checked all the sources for weather and the stars aligned for a ripper day on the yak. Went out only to get swept 3km N at 2km/hr by a current. I'd say the surface area for the PA14 doesnt help in this situation Now I'm trying to find a source that shows/predicts the waters current? ...

I will be interested to see how it performs. There is generally a lot more to sail making than the average person would consider.

Re: How Do You Lose A Shark Or Big Pelargic?
Is this how you see it?
it would be interesting to watch different responses from different hb's and sp's to just see what really works and why.
I love to watch the lures in the fish tanks at the boat and fishing expo's as you can get a real up close and personal view of the lure act...
