Re: let the pimping begin
I have had the same issue with the rudder being hard to raise and lower on the water. Great to see the way you are customising it.

Great work Cheater. I like how you have run the anchor trolley through the empty upper holes in the line holders for the grab ropes. I use these for the running lines for my sail. The steel plate for the sounder looks cool too. That is designed to have the cables running through the plate for when y...

Re: let the pimping begin
Awesome, you'll love it. I always wanted the ice box, but at $399 retail I couldn't justify it. Be careful of bolts rattling off it when it's new. I lost the black ones from the back of the seat over a couple of trips while driving, and also the shackle off one side of the rudder. Doesn't happen any...

Re: Where to buy Ocean kayak Trident Ultra 4.3 in Vic?
Capacity Sports had a demo one in green that was fully kitted out. From what I gather, BLA were planning on opening their own kayak shop in Melbourne a while back, and pulled stock from a few of the shops that sold them. At present No Limits seem to be the only shop carrying any of the higher end ra...

SOLAS Retro reflective tape can also be bought from Whitworths in the city. Around $10 a metre I think. I have it on both my canoe and kayak, as well as my paddles. This has marine grade adhesive and should be pretty much permanent if you clean the areas that you apply it first.

Re: So here is my yak so far
thanks for the reply yakker. The motor is only an occasional addition since I do prefer a paddle although the motor will come in handy for an occasional troll. Nice looking kayak. Whether it is for only occasional use is irrelevant, you still need a boat license, registration and extra safety equip...

Re: Buying humminbird online
I did it with a Humminbird Smartcast. Feet and Fahrenheit were not changeable. The unit went faulty on the second time I used it, so I shipped it back to Humminbird in the US to get fixed. When I got it back it worked for about a week and went faulty again, and they wouldn't issue another return aut...
