Re: Hello - new and looking to getting into Kayak fishing

lol, not sure how this thread got restarted, my last post was 2018 when I purchased the kayak... Just some random scammer jumped in to try and steer a bit of traffic to a couple of sites. It happens. The best one I saw was on Fishing Victoria where someone decided to use this technique to advertise...

Where did you get the drive from mate?[/quote]

Off Alibaba, I think they now sell them with better drive units though - also way more options for pedal kayaks out there now, I did notice pedalfish cost is down near $1k though - absolute bargin.

Re: Sounder display help - Garmin Striker 4 plus

That image, was that somewhere very tidal like Westernport? If that was weed then it looks like significant weed and it would require a good strong run to move it like that I reckon. Often when you are moving the pic looks quite different to when you are at rest, so if you see something like that s...

Re: Sounder display help - Garmin Striker 4 plus

I did consider air bubbles in the silocone however the picture constantly changes, and there are no marks when it is out of the water on its storage stand, so not sure? I'll try turning the rain down. I only generally fish in water between 4-10 meters so not sure if you need to change setting for sh...

I just purchased a pair of Lovig dry pants - I missed out but apparently they are doing a special with free delivery at the moment.

Sounder display help - Garmin Striker 4 plus

Hi all, I have a Striker 4 plus fish finder on the yak and have only really been using it for depth reasons, however it's a bit of a waste of money if I don't get the full use of one of it's main purposes - finding fish/structure. I'll try and upload a pick that is representative of what I see most ...

Re: Pedalfish 10

Hi all, apologies for not responding as I haven't been very active on here. I can't really comment on adding a motor to it, the Pedalfish is a clone of the Native Slayer 10 propel so you would have more luck researching that model for anyone who has used a motor - if it fits on the slayer it would f...

Re: Pedalfish 10

Hi all, quick update now I've had the chance to get out on the water a couple more times. After fitting the new fishfinder (garmin striker 4) I had my first pedal on the bay (st leonards), weather conditions were great and water was warm so after testing the limits with trying to tip over and then p...

Re: Pedalfish 10

rudder works better if it hangs down, when the nose dives after cresting a wave the rear comes up and you can loose rudder control if it all comes out of the water altogether. Not an issue on flat water, but could be on the bay. Yep - the upgrade one I bought is longer and has a piece that drops do...
