What time of the year will they take surface lures?
I've been told this only works in summer?

Re: Bilge pump installation on my Outback
Rob
That looks a great job.
Is there any worry about green water going down the outlet and potentially triggering your pump?
I would have thought a top hat of some type or a u-bend pipe in the outlet might stop this?

Re: Adding a tackle storage hatch to an Outback
Finally got out to test my new hatch, and I must say it matched my expectations :yahoo: I could carry one or two large(ish) tackle boxes, plus two or three small boxes, plus my pliers and leader spools. There was a little water in the bottom of the bucket when I packed up, but I think that was a spl...

Rod
Congrats on the win, and good luck with the motor.
BTW make sure you have your boat licence with you when you use it, as you now have a powered water craft.

Re: joining the other trailer guys
Cheater Looks like a good start  I put some side steps and tie bars on today as well - still not sure if I'll put a tradey type top on it to carry gear , still thinking about it Lockable storage draws would be good. Then you would have a flat top to carry the yak, and could store all your ...

Re: Adding a tackle storage hatch to an Outback
You could have fitted the hatch out of the new pro anglers with the pivoting tackle boxes, I've seen it done on one of the US sites to an outback Yes I could, but the cost might have been a bit prohibitive. The price for these bits was $55 for the hatch (Discount Seamart in Elizabeth St) and $16 fo...

Adding a tackle storage hatch to an Outback
I’ve had this ’06 Outback for about four years now, and although it’s a great fishing platform there have always been a couple of niggling problems. When compared to the later models, it lacks places to store things like tackle and small stuff where it is easy to get at and protected from water from...
