Well after a bit of stuffing round and not really wanting to drill holes in the Yak for the moment I decieded to try and hold it down this way. Just on this where you don't have access to put a nut and bolt, does anyone use a touch of Locktite as well? I need to put sone self tappers in as well

Deal with these guys through work and they have a heap of great stuff at a 1/4 of the price of Bunnings , BCF ect........

Just looking and comparing photos, doese'nt look like there is much room to set up the cord and cleat system on the outback.
I also saw you had to added some ally strips to strengthen the pivot points.

No worries mate. As in cord tied through the bottum of seat and then this type of rigging either side of the kayak to hold the seat in position and prevent any movement image.jpg (pic from modernkayakfishing ) That's what I'm planning to do on my adventure island. Yep that's one I did. Worked really well. Best mod I did to the outback by far Since I'm a lightweight it worked fine for me but if I did it again I would be using cleats and cord system on either side of the kayak to hold the seat in Postion. Hi Guys, Just been doing a bit of reading on these couple of seat mods and was wondering if anyone else has done this or tweaked either to make them better? Was was the on water outcome??
