Tandem/double kayaks

Does anyone here own a tandem kayak and take it out solo? I have been thinking of getting one to take the missus out with me on camping trips etc and was wondering if I could comfortably take it out by myself in port Phillip bay as well, thinking it might be more comfortable for longer sessions then...

Re: Eco Ambush Mod's

Just a few more pics I couldn't get on the first page. A couple of pics of the anchor set up. P1000251.jpg P1000250.jpg I also removed the bag sitting in the centre access port and stuffed some pool noodles in there as far as I could comfortably reach while sitting in the kayak, this gives me a lot ...

Make sure you test it fully loaded in calm conditions cuz you might be doing mono's. Its not too bad, the yak is front heavy as it is so the more stuff up the back the better! I can easily move to batte...

Re: Eco Ambush Mod's

Another quick one as it wont let me post more then 10 pics in a thread, just a drink bottle holder and old pencil case stuck on the back of the seas to give me a little more more storage space.

Eco Ambush Mod's

The windy conditions over the weekend gave me a bit of time to finish off modding my Eco Ambush, so heres a quick run down of what I got done. First up was getting the power sorted, battery is your standard 12V 7.2 ah SLA eBay job sealed in a cheap waterproof container from the supermarket attached ...

Re: Handlebars & a basket.

Looks good mate, I currently have my sounder on the middle mount, but i could defiantly use some extra storage space... I thought about that - mount a plate on the scotty insert, sounder at the front and storage behind. My design is basically the opposite of yours, in that my sounder is mounted on t...

Re: Trimming a sounder transducer down to size?

Thanks for the replies guys, not too worried about the warranty as its a pretty cheap sounder so i'm going to go ahead and do it. I am a total noob when it comes to sounders, I assume the signal is sent/received from the bottom of the transducer down? and not out the front? So that by having the tr...
